Our kennel and staff offer the security and tender loving care that your pet needs while you are away. The kennel has a monitored security system, is fully fenced, and a caretaker lives on site. Our manager, kennel technicians, and grooming staff bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that add to the quality of care for your pet.   Vaccinations Vaccinations are required for all animals staying with us at CairJac Kennels. Please provide current shot records when dropping off your pets or have your Veterinarian fax a copy of your shot records to the kennel fax number.   Vaccinations for dogs The following shots are required: DHLPP: for distemper, hepatitis, leptosporosis, para influenza, and parvovirus. Vaccinate annually Bordetella: for kennel cough prevention, should be given seven to ten days before boarding. Vaccinate annually/biannually Rabies: given every one to three years We are licensed by Pierce County to house 125 animals in our facility. There are 60 private indoor/outdoor kennels and dogs are free to come in and out through their own doggie door.  These kennels are available on a first come first serve basis.  If for the well being of your pet during busy holidays your dog may be crated indoors under employee supervision.  All crated animals are let out for play times and potty breaks frequently throughout the day.     Each kennel has a private heated indoor bedding area that is 6 feet by 4 feet. The covered outdoor exercise run is 22 feet long by 4 feet wide. For sanitary purposes all floors indoors and outdoors are concrete, with an epoxy finish on the indoor bedding areas. Amenities We provide heavy rugs, blankets, dog beds and stainless steel food dishes and water buckets for all dogs. You may also bring a bed, blanket, special toy or anything you feel will make your dog's stay with us more comfortable. Food We provide Pedigree dry food and Pedigree canned food for dogs. If your dog has a special diet you may bring their food in with them, as well as any special feeding instructions. Medications If your dog is currently taking medications, we will administer them as instructed. Playtime This is offered to our K-9 customers. This is special one on one time out side the kennel in our huge 50ft by 60ft securely fenced play yard. Your dog can enjoy chasing ball, playing with a Frisbee or tug toy, splashing in the pool or just sit and talk with our professional playtime technicians.   Vaccinations for cats FVRCP: classic 4 in one vaccine annual vaccination FeLV: feline leukemia Rabies:   The cats are kept in their own private room away from the dog kennels. They each have their own cat condo, with a bedding loft above their food and litter box.   Amenities We provide blankets, stainless steel food and water dishes and a spacious litter box. You may bring a bed, blanket or special toy to help your cat feel more at home.   Food We feed Purina dry cat food. If your cat has a special diet you may bring it with you as well as any special feeding instructions.   Medications If your cat is currently taking medications we will administer them as instructed.   Free time All cats need the time to stretch, so each of our guests get a few moments per day out of their condos to walk around the cat room.   * We offer a multiple pet discount. * Senior citizen discount on boarding.
